Here are my weekend plans...in my dreams. This is the Sofia Coppola Miss Dior commercial. The song is by Brigitte Bardot.
Isn't it just the most perfect day you could imagine?
Have a lovely weekend, all!
I love beautiful things, and I am very affected by my environment. I have an amazing fiance, and we are trying to plan a wedding and build a life together in the city...all we need is love...and more money.

Don't hate me because I'm colder than you.
I will not be the first to announce that I am not at all offended by this billboard...nor are any of the other "Torontonians" with whom I generally associate. We don't even care. Perhaps that's the whole problem...
While I personally don't feel any animosity towards Western Canadians, I do sense the whole "Vancouver vs Toronto" cage match that is constantly raging in their minds. I don't think it's such an issue here. It's not that we're "cold" it's that we just don't feel the rivalry. We know our city is the best in Canada, and that's all there is to it.
I could go on and on about this topic, but I am simply too busy (not to mention important) to waste any more time on it...But I will say this...it doesn't say Torontonians are "cold," it simply says the beer is "colder." Perhaps it's all just a misunderstanding.
Now back to drinking my warm Coors Light.

September Outfit
I love fall, so to honour it's impending arrival (not to mention my newfound mad inspiration board skillz), I have scoured my usual haunts to find the CUTEST summer-fall transition outfit. It's riddled with items I covet (I know, it's a sin...) and items I would totally buy, if only I could convince myself to put down the damn Pop Tarts and lose those last ten pounds. I have sourced each of the items below, just follow the links to purchase.
I call this look, September Casual
Susan Sweater $40 available through Dace one of my favourite Canadian designers.
Kex Over Jeans $119 by Acne
Olivia Bag in Prince Leather $238 available through Roots Canada
Trinitis Sequins Platform Pump $99 available through Steve Madden
Vintage Copper Leaf Bracelet
$16 available through Etsy seller Aprildawn
Butterfly Necklace $50 available through Etsy seller Pinkdawn
Copper Bee Ring $75 by Steampunk: Available through Etsy seller edmdesigns
So, there we have it. If you have any questions about any of the articles or vendors, just drop me an email or leave them in a comment here.

My Day of Discovery: A Wedding Inspiration Board!!
So I finally figured out how to make a mood board. With Bridal Canvas you can make a mood board for anything, not only your wedding...You can upload your own pictures, so you can do room inspiration boards, outfit inspiration boards...really anything your little heart desires. Also, since I just figured out how to save pictures to mac computers (I use one at work) my blog is about to be updated a lot more frequently.
Here she is, in all her pink, inspirational glory! Enjoy!
Our Wedding:
Click the board to link to the actual site, which explains each of the elements in more detail.

Oh Happy Day!
It's been, like a million years since I've last posted, but as many of you are well aware, S and I are now officially engaged. Although this is not EXACTLY my engagement ring, it is in the same style and setting. I love it so much! It's perfect.
Since our engagement, Steve and I have been wedding planning like crazy. I basically want everything DONE before the end of the summer, if possible because next year is going to be insanely busy. I've decided this is going to be a d-i-y wedding right down to the hand-traced-and-cut favour boxes (I just think it's so much more personal and unique that way). I am getting so many great ideas from my usual sources:
Etsy
Young House Love
The Knot
Paper Source
and of course, Her Majesty: Martha Stewart
but I've recently been perusing
I-Do-It-Yourself
The Fussy Designer
and Oh Happy Day who's website actually inspired the theme of our wedding.
Over the next months leading up to the wedding, I hope to be posting with more regularity in order to organize myself and collect my thoughts. The only thing that I REALLY need to figure out is how to make a mood board...then I'll be set.
